Talking


You hear some words in your head and you think it is you who is talking.
When you like what that sounds like, you let it continue.
And even when you don't like what it sounds like, you let it continue.
and occasionally when you get overwhelmed by it, you say to it "Don't talk", "Stop talking".
How can you stop anything when you are not the one who is doing it, talking in this case.
Everything is happening by itself. You just identify yourself with it. Again, talking in this case.
If you want to stop talking, don't say " Stop talking"  or " you are talking too much".
Try saying nothing at all.

There is only one

They say, there's a speaker, there's a listener, there's a talker, there's a feeler, there's a thinker.
But there's only one. Doing all these activities at the same time.
So where is the confusion, why do we get distracted, what do we get disturbed/depressed about?
Confusion arises when we don't allow ourselves to do each of these activities to its completion/fruition.We are way too hard on ourselves. We order ourselves to do another activity before the one in hand is done.
For ex:- When we have to listen, we say to ourselves talk. And before we complete talking, we say feel, and before we feel it completely, we say talk again, before we complete talking again, we say think, and before we complete thinking.. we say feel.
We never completely do one thing. It takes a great deal of inner observation, awareness and discipline to teach ourselves to do one thing at a time. .The best part is, if we allow ourselves to do one thing completely the other things happen simultaneously beautifully.
Develop that kind of discipline, observation and awareness and be the one. :)

Mind and Pain.

The moment pain shows up, mind runs away from it.
Runs away towards something that is not so painful.
Why?
Because it is not used to being around pain.
Because it is not still aware that pain too like everything else comes and goes.
So How do we make get used to it or become aware of it.
By being/sitting/seeing pain when it comes.
Even if it is for half a second initially, just be with it.
Don't dump all the pain on it at once, let the mind get used to pain slowly

And thoughts perpetuate confusion. Life is just a game of thoughts.Don't fall in any of these thought traps by not taking any of them so seriously.
